Amitabh
Ghoshal completed his Bachelor of Arts degree
from Hanover
College with majors in Physics and Computer Science. While at
Hanover, he interned at Grote Industries, LLC. designing
and testing car and truck lighting. After graduating from Hanover, he
taught Science and Math for 2 years at the King
George School
- an emotional growth boarding school. Along with teaching, his
responsibilities also included mentoring students. He subsequently
returned to school to pursue a PhD in Optics at CREOL:
College of Optics and Photonics, at the University
of Central Florida. He
is currently conducting research in designing efficient structures for
coupling from light to surface plasmons - for potential use in
on-chip communication. Amitabh is President of the SPIE student chapter
at UCF.
